DISCOVER: Digital Revolution in Demolition
Autonomous material identification systems and BIM digital twins for a sustainable construction industry.
About the DISCOVER Project
DISCOVER (Digital, autonomous, Intelligent and Synchronous system for Continuous identification, Optimization and Value Extraction of Resources) is a groundbreaking project funded by Horizon Europe (GA 101129909).
The project aims to revolutionize the construction and demolition industry by developing an advanced system for autonomous, synchronous, and continuous identification and analysis of materials in end-of-life built environments.
The consortium consists of 14 partners from across Europe, and the project is implemented in 4 demonstration locations: Portugal, Belgium, Poland, and Spain.
TREE Capital Poland's Role
Tree Capital sp. z o.o. is one of 14 DISCOVER consortium partners and is also responsible for the Polish demonstration location of the project.
Our tasks in the project include:
- Implementing DISCOVER technologies on real demolition projects
- Testing autonomous material identification systems
- Integrating BIM digital twins in deconstruction processes
- Validating solutions in Polish market and regulatory conditions
- Knowledge and experience transfer to the consortium
Poland - Demo Location
Implementation - testing technologies on real sites
Validation - verifying solutions in Polish market conditions
Expertise - leveraging TREE's demolition experience
DISCOVER Project Objectives
Five key innovation areas for a sustainable construction industry
Autonomous Robotics
Creating autonomous and synchronous robotic systems for precise analysis, identification, and digitization of materials and construction components from existing structures.
BIM Digital Twins
Developing an integrated digital framework to synchronously process and visualize data, leveraging BIM digital twin technology.
